Cougar Club at Crooked River Elementary

Cougar Club is back for a 7th year! All students in grades 1st-5th have the opportunity to increase their fitness by running or walking during lunch recess.

After completing 7,300 miles last year as a school, we are hopeful for even more participation this year. Beginning September, every Monday and Wednesday all students in grades 1st-5th have the opportunity to increase their fitness by running or walking during lunch recess.

The ¼ mile loop that we use for Cougar Club is marked on the map on the back of this paper. Each child is free to run or walk as little or as much as desired during the designated time.

Awards are given as a motivator. Students receive a plastic charm in the shape of a foot for each mile completed. Students can wear the charms on a chain that we provide, or on their shoelaces, backpacks, etc.

We are very enthusiastic about the return of this program and look forward to the great things that will come as a result of it.
