Our tech team has been working hard over the Summer to make sure all of your equipment is in the best shape possible. Because of all the changes, here are a few things you should know:
- The first few times you log on to your machine it may take a little bit longer than you are used to. We have made several big changes over the Summer and it just needs some time to catch up.
- After you log on for the first time, please go ahead and restart immediately. We just want to make sure all of your policies are in place correctly. If you notice that some of your documents are missing, don’t panic, they aren’t gone forever. Just put in a ticket and we will restore them as soon as possible.
- You may notice that you have been upgraded to a new operating system, most likely Windows 8.1. Don’t worry! You will get the hang of it in no time! Here is a link to a quick video about the charms bar that will help get you started: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/charms-tutorial.
- If you happen to have an issue that needs our assistance, please submit a help desk ticket through big web or by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. With the number of requests we are currently receiving, this will help us keep you on our radar.
As we push through these next couple of weeks, we would just like to thank you for your patience and understanding. We will continue to work diligently to provide for your technology needs and keep things running as smoothly as possible. Please don’t hesitate to put in a ticket if you have any problems and we will attempt to resolve them as quickly as possible.
