Pioneer High School staff and students enjoy a significant increase in space and educational opportunities with the move to Pioneer Complex

Crook County Pioneer Complex building

The students and staff of Pioneer Secondary Alternative School (Pioneer High School) are excited about our recent move into the newly renovated 1st Street wing of the former Crooked River Elementary School in Prineville.  As co-tenants with the school district’s Central Kitchen facility, Information Technology department, and Therapeutic Learning Center, in what is now known as the “Pioneer South” building, we have a significant increase in space and educational opportunities.  Among other improvements, we have two additional classrooms, more educational technology, new furniture, a multi-purpose room/cafeteria that includes a performance stage, and easier access to the “Pioneer Gym.”  We are able to spread out and diversify our activities in a refurbished facility that retains much of the historical character that is so important to the residents of Crook County.
