CRE Readers Prepare to Battle

CRE readers prepare to battle

It’s OBOB time at Crooked River Elementary.

Two dozen third, fourth, and fifth graders have their reading cut out for them over winter break as they prepare for Oregon Battle of the Books.

Teachers Amber Freeman and Jeri McCormack hosted an OBOB Qualifying Meeting this week to assign teams and books to students who qualified to participate in the annual battles. To qualify, they had to read two of the 16 OBOB books and pass an accelerated reader test.

The Parent Teacher Organization purchased the books and supplies for this year’s competition.

Good luck, students!
