Brothers School teacher Gretchen Stack retires

 

Brothers School Principal Jim Bates recognized Brothers School teacher Gretchen Stack during the Monday, March 9 Crook County School District Board meeting for her many years of service in public education. Ms. Stack retired in January. She began her teaching career in Lyons in 1982. She then taught in Yamhill and came to Crook County in 1992. Mr. Bates credits her with helping open the rural Brothers School in 2015 with five students. Their highest enrollment during her tenure was 13 students with nine grade levels. Ms. Stack plans to enjoy traveling, family and friends in retirement. Thank you for your service to students and families in our district, Ms. Stack!
