Native American History in Oregon

The 4th-grade curriculum at Barnes Butte Elementary School is teaching about Native American History in Oregon. The pictographs were part of the learning when they discussed how Native American tribes would keep track of legends and history.

Alpaca and kids at petting zoo

Field trip to Smith Rocks Ranch

Smith Rocks Ranch is a beautiful destination for a field trip. These Barnes Butte students experienced the corn maze, picking pumpkins, and one of the favorites, the petting zoo. These kindergartners from Mrs. Brooks’ class visited the ranch on Thursday, October 19 along with the other kindergarten classes and had a wonderful time.
