Fifth-Graders Learn about Microorganisms

Fifth-grade students at Barnes Butte Elementary were able to enjoy a fun and interactive soil science presentation on December 5th, World Soils Day. They learned about the roles and responsibilities of many of the microorganisms that make up the soil ecosystem from local scientists working for the USDA and the Bend Watershed Council.

CRE Kindergartners Tune up for Holiday Program

Crooked River Elementary Kindergarten classes were “tuning up” for their Christmas Program, which took place on Thursday. They sang ‘I’m a Little Snowman,’ ‘Suzy Snowflake,’ and ‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.’ There is nothing cuter than kindergartners singing their hearts out.
