Healthy and Safe Facilities Plan
|PURPOSE OF THE PLAN||The Crook County School District is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for students to learn. The purpose of this plan is to provide protocols and procedures as well as outline the means of communicating and sustaining the procedures and information. The plan contains contact information, building information, specific health plans and methods of communication. This plan will be reviewed annually and any new buildings or changes will be updated into the plan.|
|SCOPE||The Crook County School District Healthy and Safe Facilities Plan outlines the expectations of staff and the procedures that will be followed to meet the goals of the Healthy and Safe Facilities Plan. This plan contains links for a number of other plans as well as a brief summary of those individual plans.|

The Crook County School District has adopted a radon plan as required by ORS 332.167.A copy of the radon plan can be found here: https://crookcounty.k12.or.us/facilities-and-safety/radon-plan . B. LEAD IN DRINKING WATER
In accordance with OAR 581-022-2223(5)(d) the Crook County School District has developed a plan to test water fixtures that are used for food prep and
drinking water for lead. A copy of the Drinking Water Plan can be found here: https://crookcounty.k12.or.us/facilities-and-safety/drinking-water-planThe district will conduct random sampling and testing of lead annually. The results will be posted on the following website within five days of receiving the test results. https://crookcounty.k12.or.us/facilities-and-safety/results-of-testing-our-water-for-lead .All drinking water tests are conducted in an Oregon Health Authority accredited lab.
C. LEAD PAINT RENOVATION AND REMOVAL
OAR 581-022-2223(5)(e) states that the Healthy and Safe Facilities Plan must include a plan to reduce exposure to lead paint that includes the following compliance with the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s Renovation, Repair and painting Program Rule.The Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Program Rule requires that individuals and firms conducting renovation, repair and painting projects on pre-1978 homes and child-occupied facilities (child care and schools) be certified to follow lead-safe work practices. soning/ChildCareSchools/Pages/RulesforRenovating.aspx .In order to comply with the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s Renovation, Repair and Painting Program Rule, the Crook County School District has licensed staff that are certified to perform the work in accordance with the EPA rule.All RRP that take place in school buildings that were constructed prior to 1978 are subject to the districts lead paint plan.
D. INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT
The district has adopted an integrated pest management plan as required by ORS 634.700 through 634.750.

The district will make all test results and detailed information explaining the test results available to the public within five business days of receiving the results. Results will be made available by posting the results on the district website, and by making the results available in hard-copy at the main administration office.The full test results are available at the Facilities Office and will be available upon request.
PLAN MAINTENANCE AND REPORTING
|The district will provide an annual report to the school board that covers any changes made to the plan and verifies that that the plan is up to date. Testing results, and verification that testing and procedures are being maintained, will also be covered. Mitigation efforts and repairs will also be included in the report.
The responsible person for the plan will also send a hard copy letter to all staff members verifying that the plan is in place and up to date, and will include information on how to access the plan.
